ABOUT - MAYACAN DEVELOPMENT CO LTD
Mayacan Development Co Ltd owns 1849 acres just one mile north of Riversdale at the top of the Placencia Peninsula. The property is rectangular in shape with approximately one mile of pristine waterfront on the Caribbean sea going inland through the rich grasslands and then transitioning through 2 miles of dense, lush tropical jungle and cahoon forest out onto the savannah. The 6000 feet of beachfront area is subdivided into 66 water front lots and there are 61 second tier lots or back lots. In addition there is one designated (surveyed) hotel site which is 281 feet of beachfront as well as approximately 1000 feet of beachfront, not surveyed, suitable for a resort development bordering on South Stann Creek at the south end of the property. The company is seeking a joint venture partner to develop all or portions of the property to it's fullest potential. This would include up to three world class golf courses on approximately 750 acres in the savannah including a hotel, club house, restaurant/bar etc. as well as building lots around the golf courses. In addition, there is an opportunity to create 200 two acre jungle lots along the fringe between the jungle and grasslands near the beach area. The third potential area of development is the excavating of three fresh water canals off the South Stann Creek providing an additional 175 building lots allowing owners boat access to the sea and the many quays only 8 miles away.
